Raising goats was never in the "plan". If you had told me about 10 years ago, that I would be a goat farmer, I would have laughed in your face. But, in 2000 I volunteered at my son's first grade Valentine Party. One of the local Vets brought two pymgy goats and it was love at first sight. As the saying goes, the rest is history . . .
We currently are raising Alpine and Nubian Dairy goats and Boer Goats. We use the dairy goat milk to make our excellent soaps, lotion, cheese and fudge.
We use the Nubian milk for our cheese and fudge since it is loaded with butterfat. The Alpine milk is very sweet and wonderful for drinking.
